Anyone who knows me, knows that I’m a massive fan of taking time for a little relaxation, some much needed me time and a pamper. Even more so at this time of year, in the winter time when its cold and dreary outside. So when I was approached by Tranquil Beauty, to sample their brand new bath bombs how could I possibly resist?!
Tranquil Beauty have been in the market for bath time accessories for a while, primarily bath pillows and mats. They’ve only recently ventured into the world of bath bombs, and I must say, they are off to a fantastic start.
The bombs are vegan, paraben and cruelty free and made with natural ingredients, designed to give you a relaxing soak without leaving skin dry or irritated afterward. The collection is made up of 8 bombs, with 4 delightful scents to choose from; coconut, rose, lavender and mint. It was pleasing to see a mix of classic scents, such as the relaxing lavender or rose, along with some more unique scents that you wouldn’t often see, such as the mint or the coconut.
Delivery was amazingly fast, and arrived early, and were well packaged and adequately protected. I sometimes worry about ordering anything that is remotely fragile, as the last thing you want is to open a box full of cracked and broken bath bombs! They all arrived safe and sound however in a beautiful gift box, making them an ideal gift item for a friend or family member – not that you’ll want to give them away!
When I opened up the box, I was pleased to see that the bath bombs within were individually wrapped and beautifully presented with colour coded stickers to indicate the scent of each one, making it feel even more of a treat. Naturally I pulled them out of the box almost immediately (patience is not a virtue I possess, sue me) to have a closer look, and of course, a sniff. They’ve really hit the mark as far as scent is concerned, whilst no one wants an underwhelmingly scented bath bomb, some do have the tendency to be a little overpowering and sickly. These were just right, and were true to the scent each was supposed to convey.
I couldn’t wait to try my new bath bombs but did have to wait a couple of days, they didn’t disappoint in the slightest, and were well worth the wait. They fizzed up wonderfully in the bath, with a more subtle colour change to the water than you see with other bath bombs. The scent however, wasn’t dulled down at all.
Having had a long week, and an active weekend with sore muscles, I opted for the lavender first, which granted me a lovely soothing bath. The scent was light and sweet, and not over sickly as lavender can sometimes be. Afterward my muscles felt soothed, my skin was soft and I was lovely and relaxed ready for a good night’s sleep.
I thoroughly enjoyed trying out the first bath bomb, and I can’t wait to try out the others! Which scent would you try first?
