Christmas is finally here! It’s rather a strange one for me this time around, as it’s probably the first year where I’m not round my parents for either Christmas or Boxing Day.
Instead, I’ve been travelling round the USA for the past few weeks, and am now in a beautiful town called Banff in the Canadian rockies.
Due to our travelling, we’ve missed out on a few Christmas traditions, such as putting up a tree, decorating the house, Christmas meals out with work and exchanging gifts with our loved ones - although they all have plenty of presents coming back with us!
Despite this, I wouldn’t change my Christmas Day for the world. We’ve got up early, for a morning gym session followed by breakfast (all you can eat I might add!)
We’ve had a scenic walk around the woods and now we are cuddled up in front of a wonderfully warm fire in our room, with Christmas television on in the background.
Plus of course, we’ve been in touch with our friends and family back at home to wish them a merry Christmas, although our morning is their mid afternoon, so they are further along than us!
This evening we’ve got Christmas dinner, and will be enjoying (or more, braving) some time in the outdoor hot tub.
However you are spending Christmas, I wish you all a day full of happiness, laughter and too much food.
Happy Christmas everyone!
